Artist Story: “This painting was inspired by the presence of a proud peacock in the campground where I stayed with my husband and child several years ago. It is located in Indian Pass, which is in northern Florida. I have a good friend there, Paula, who is also an artist. The painting features Paula’s long pier into a lagoon, which was washed away in bad flooding right after this painting was completed. True to form, though, Paula discovered another peacock walking around her property the day after the flooding, which she took as a sign that ‘all will be well’.”
